Be not sorrowful when I die.

I have fought a hard, bitter battle.

The peace of rest is mine.

Earned through pain and suffering.

Be not sad, for the prize of peace is finally mine.

  1. I attended St Thomas’s School on the Whiterock Road in Belfast and was taught mathematics by Eamon in the early 1960s. He was clearly very good at his job as I went on to obtain an A level GSE in Additional Mathematics. I recall him as a very caring individual who put 100% into helping those of us who had not managed to obtain a grammar school place. He was a friend to many and an inspiration to all.

  3. I am pretty sure you don’t remember me, I am Jim & Mary Brennan’s daughter. Jim who used to play drums for Eamonn all those years ago in Manchester. We are all extremely sorry for your loss of Eamonn. From what I can remember of him, he was a great, funny, smart & energic man who loved life. The last members I have off you all, is when you stayed with us at our house, just before you left for America. If you don’t mind, would it be possible for Dad to contact you directly, because I know he would love to pass on his condolances to you & Mary. There is barely a day goes by when he tells me off the things they used to get up to & what songs they played when they where in the band together.

How I found you was via the internet, but there was no contact number, this is why I am emailing you via this webpage. If you don’t mind, could you email me your telephone number via this email address. I promise, the only person I will give it too is Dad!!!

    Kind reguards to you both.

    Gail
